ヒトとチンパンジーのＤＮＡの違いは1.23%しかないが、Ｙ染色体だけに着目してみると1.78%の違いがあるとの論文がNature Genetics Advance online publicationに掲載された。

Reconstruction of the common ancestral Y chromosome reflects the dynamic changes in our genomes in the 5-6 million years since speciation.とのことだ。Ｙ染色体の違いがヒトとチンパンジーの違いをどのように生み出しているのだろうか。
